Introduction

My name is Diana Williams. In the picture from left to right is Rachel, Leann, Amanda, my mom, and me. I am a full-time student at the University of Toledo studying to become an art teacher. Since I was in middle school I knew I wanted to be just like my favorite teachers. School has been, and will continue to be, a big part of my life. I enjoyed it very much while I was growing up and I cannot wait to see what the other side of the table looks like when I'm the one in charge of a class. I have a twin sister named Rachel. She also goes to the University of Toledo and is, without a doubt, my best friend. We say things in unison, practically read each other's mind, and if we ever disagree or squabble we are instantaneously forgiving.  I don't know what my life would be like if she wasn't in it and I'm dreading the day when she is taken from me or I from her. I have two other sisters who are ten years apart but look like twins themselves. I have a pet cat named Monster and he lives up to the name but I love him all the same. My dad passed away in 2010 and there isn't a day that goes by that I wouldn't share with him. I am very open discussing his death if anyone would like to know more about it. My mom became both mom and dad and she is amazing at it. She is a very strong woman to raise my sisters and I. I often realize that there is always a rush to talk to her and ask her questions whenever we are all together. Even though she never felt like 'the rock' for us, she really was. I have a deep love for reading and drawing. There is this great feeling of serenity and happiness I get when reading or drawing. I was taught that my imagination is limitless and the best way for me to express it is through the many forms of art. I also like knowing facts for the sake of sharing them with someone else. For instance, the painting called Mona Lisa has no eyebrows. Or, the feeling you get when a body part 'falls asleep' is called paresthesia.
